Day 143: Beach Bros

"Beach Bros" 8x10" acrylic on acid free matte board $60

RAWR. waves.... what a challenge. They look so simple to paint and every time i think "piece of cake" then i start painting... and re-painting... finally satisfied with the water. Anyway... These guys were enjoying a nice day on the beach and yet again didn't notice me taking their picture. I hope.

Day 135: Tunnel Vision

"Tunnel Vision" 7x5" acrylic on acid free matte board $50

Fun little painting, loved this guy, he was completely oblivious to the world, he simply walked his merry way as i was merrily walking behind him taking his picture... I'm not a stalker... at least not for more than a few minutes.

Day 133: Hula!

"Hula!" 7x5" Acrylic on acid free matte board -surprise gift, not for sale-

This is Jeffrey, the dashboard hula man. Forever forced to hula and strum his ukulele. I was just in the mood to paint something a little quirky.  Maybe once the receiver gets this painting they will post a message..

Day 122: Moments before Dawn

"Moments before Dawn" 5x7" Acrylic on acid free matte board $50

This was a fun painting just minutes before the sun decided to show up. Early.

Day 121: Hidden Treasure

"Hidden Treasure" 5x7" Acrylic on acid free matte board $50

Oh my goodness I love this painting. It was fun, I am very drawn to images or objects that are often over looked beauty. I feel this is one of those, nature meets humans. I was able to paint free and goopy and loved it.

Maui trip Art

Woot woot. I had the opportunity to visit maui for a week and it was simply amazing. You can't turn around there with out bumping into a artist, or gallery.

Here are some of the artists that blew my mind.
http://podgeelvenstar.com/
http://www.darylmillard.com/originals.html

If i had more money... i would have spent it. Haha.

I also had the chance to paint plein air which was amazing, siting near the beach and painting. The wind killed one, as my palette blew up and smashed into it, throwing dirty brown green all over my landscape, however i was not impressed with that painting of mine anyway so it was not a total loss, maui rejected that one from your view. I will post them soon. I need to add the finishing touches to a few. Over all i painted 7 there, took many pictures that i will be working from. Got a lot of use out of my sketch book and am a pretty happy painter.
